Laconia House

Laconia House is a historic five storey building in the central business district in Melbourne Australia. Originally it housed the Laconia Woolen Mills owned by the Laycock family, wool traders and blanket and textile manufacturers. It is not known what inspired the founder Frederick Laycock (1839-1909) to name his businesses after legendary Laconia of Greece.
