1st Pan-Laconian World Conference of Young Expatriates

The Lakonia Prefecture will host the 1st World Conference of Expatriate Young Laconians (aged 18-40) in Sparta on July 13-16, 2009 following a proposal by Lakonia Prefect Konstantinos Fourkas that was unanimously accepted during the 2nd World Conference of Laconians Abroad held in the city in 2007.

The Conference goals are making Lakonia the meeting place for young Laconians abroad, who will have the opportunity to visit their parents’ birthplace, and allowing young expatriates to meet and forge close ties between them and with the local youth

Associations and federations of Laconians living abroad have already been notified that their member-young expatriates interested should register by the end of January 2009.

All accommodation and hospitality expenses will be covered by the Lakonia Prefecture.
