100 Years of Poet Vrettakos
The Pan-Laconian Society of SA enthusiastically welcomes the initiative of the Adelaide Hellenic Cultural Festival Odyssey to honour the famous Laconian poet with the live performance "Echoes" on Thursday 11 October at Olympic Hall. All members are encouraged to attend, enjoy the performance and pay tribute to the great legacy of the celebrated Laconian.
Adelaide's Hellenic Cultural Festival Odyssey enters its 7th year as the Greek Orthodox Community of SA inc. (GOCSA) once again presents a series of exciting arts and cultural events from 22 September to 13 October.
With this year's theme being a celebration of Hellenism, the 2012 Odyssey will celebrate all things that make us 'Greek', as we look into the window of our culture.
Throughout the duration of the festival, this year's hub, Olympic Hall will play host to exhibitions, lectures, documentaries, musical and theatrical events, school holiday workshops, a cafeteria and taverna and the inaugural Odyssey 'In The City' event which will see activities spill into Franklin street for a two day street festival on the October Long weekend, featuring food, entertainment, wine and dance.
Be part of this journey into our world of Hellenism at the 7th annual Adelaide Hellenic Cultural Festival Odyssey 22 September to 13 October, 2012.
Look out for Odyssey brochures and posters or check out this years program online at www.odysseyfestival.com.au
